PUBG: Battlegrounds esports team revelaed the esports roadmap for 2024, presenting the season format and schedule for tournaments. The new list of partner teams was also published.
One of the important moments for PUBG: Battlegrounds in 2023 was the revival of the PGS tournaments (PUBG Global Series), expanding the discipline's reach on the international stage and attracting more teams from various regions. The ongoing competitive season in PUBG promises to be even more dynamic and intresting. In 2024, the PUBG Global Series will kick off in March, culminating with the PUBG Global Championship in December. In the current season, PUBG players can anticipate four events in the PUBG Global Series, each with a prize pool of $300,000. Each series will feature 24 teams: 10 partner teams and 14 participants from regional leagues. The top-performing squads of these series will go on to compete in the PGC.
PUBG Regional SeriesIn 2024, regional qualifiers will take place in five regions. Each region receiving the following number of slots for the PUBG Global Series:China — 2 slots, Korea — 3 slots, EMEA — 2 slots, АPAC — 4 slots, America — 3 slots.
Global tournaments of the season
The PUBG Global Championship is slated to be the flagship tournament of the 2024 season, showcasing the top teams from regional series and PGC tournaments. Moreover, a mid-season international tournament for PUBG: Battlegrounds is set to unfold in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Further details about the events will be disclosed later.
